Dept. of Posthumous Letters

Freelance / Banker Wessel Category: Chapbooks Client: Wythe Hotel / Argoos Books Role: Art Director and Graphic Designer Year: 2018 — Dept. of Posthumous Letters is a poetry project featuring letters written by poets Dot Devota and Caitie Moore. The two different books are written from Nova Scotia, a province in Canada, and New York, respectively. On the covers, I wanted to capture both places but make them cohesive, so I chose to use simple illustrations of the areas. A belt with the title holds the books together. The books are also part of the decor in every room at the Wythe Hotel in New York.
